Torre Difyos

We enjoyed the two pools, the modern, clean, spacious rooms, and the beautiful views, especially the striking sunsets from many of the rooms. The property has been renovated really well and sits naturally in the landscape. It’s a wonderful spot, though some details could be better. For the price and the quality of the resort, the beds were a letdown. The mattresses felt cheap, with every spring noticeable, and neither of us slept comfortably. We both woke several times each night. Breakfast was also ordinary for the price. The coffee was good, as it is everywhere in Italy, and the omelet was okay, but we’ve had better breakfasts at other small hotels, with fresh smoothies and a better choice of fruit. The place also seems unsure of what sort of stay it wants to offer. Some days the main pool was quiet and felt like a spa retreat; other days there was loud music at the little pool bar and it felt more like a club hotel. We didn’t like that smoking was allowed everywhere, including people smoking in the pool. With two pools, one could have been a nonsmoking area.

Whenever we come from London to visit Castellabate, we stay here and love every minute. Alessia, Alfredo, and all the staff have made so many lovely memories for us, and we’re grateful to them. It’s a true Italian family business, and their kindness and hospitality are excellent. The view is breathtaking, the pools are lovely, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. The service is great, and the breakfast is fantastic. It’s a lovely place to visit, especially with kids.

We had lunch here as well as breakfast, and both meals were satisfying. Everything was fresh and cooked well, and breakfast had a tasty range of options. The staff were very helpful too. It’s a spacious, clean, well-kept property surrounded by greenery and total quiet. A truly relaxing weekend, and five stars well earned.
