I kicked off my bikepacking trip through southern Italy from here last summer, after staying at the winery. The views were great, the rooms splendid, and the wines fabulous, especially the Grechetto. The owner was kind enough to let me leave my car there for the two weeks until I got back.

Our host welcomed us with such warmth and respect on the winery tour. What stood out was seeing how much he cares about his work as he showed us around. We’ll definitely return.

There were eight of us, and the owner Francesco gave us a private tour and tasting. He was funny, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The wine was great, and this was one of the best tastings I’ve done.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the tour and lunch were a real highlight of our trip. The food was local, the wines were fine, and we loved the whole experience. Our son and daughter-in-law had stopped here on their honeymoon and recommended it, so we were glad we followed their suggestion. We toured the bed and breakfast but didn’t stay there this time. We’ll book it on our next visit. It’s close to the Perugia chocolate factory and well placed in Umbria, near Assisi and other villages.

Tasting the wine and walking around the vineyards made for such a good time. For a taste of local Umbria, we’d definitely recommend Chiorri.
