The location near the hospital was ideal, and the place was spotless. The people running it were nice, too.

The service was even better than the delicious food!

The breakfast choices were a little limited. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and ready to answer questions, and the location near the hospital is well connected to the city. Our room was comfortable, with good air conditioning, a private bathroom and balcony.

After a night spent sneezing from the dust, which we think came from the bedspread, we were glad to finish the nightmare with breakfast. The spoons were dirty, there was hair on the rim of my coffee cup, and the latte came in a chipped one. We'd checked in at 2 PM and left right away. When we came back around 4 PM, someone had been in our room. We asked why, and were told, shamefully, that they check the room to make sure everything is okay and turn on the air conditioning as a courtesy. Nobody warned us, and we'd left our personal belongings there thinking they were safe and that we had privacy. Only after that discussion did we really notice the room's condition. There was hair in the shower from some body part, and we had no idea whose it was. The toilet brush was sitting in yellow liquid and clearly hadn't been cleaned. Cobwebs ran around the bathroom ceiling. We had the misfortune of staying here this weekend, drawn in by those incredible 4.2-star reviews. What a shame.

The room was dated and dirty, with a stale, musty smell everywhere. The walls were dirty too, breakfast came on worn placemats, and there was hair in the coffee. It was a nightmare, the sort of place where the NAS would shut it down in three seconds. We came to Perugia to visit the chocolate factory and, encouraged by the mostly positive reviews, chose this hostel that calls itself a B&B. We dropped our things off, went out, then came back a few hours later to change. While I was in our room, I heard staff trying to enter. As they came out, they asked whether I needed anything. I said no, and she said she was going into our friends' room to check if everything was there. There wasn't time for her to tell us beforehand. If we hadn't come back, we'd never have known about this lack of privacy. I really hope people read the reviews and avoid this place like the plague. It cost €72.
