The morning view over the valley and Perugia was magnificent, and we were welcomed so warmly. Locanda Stella is full of character, decorated with taste and a lovely, cozy feel. Our rooms were beautiful. We found it a great base for seeing Umbria and its towns. Ristorante and Wine Bar Stella are well worth trying. Silvia and her husband take real pride in their Umbrian roots and their work, from the delicious food and well-matched wines to the efficient service with its own flair. We enjoyed our time here and will happily come back.

The restaurant downstairs is divine, don’t miss it! This is a locanda rather than a hotel, and we thought it offered great value. It’s handy for visiting Perugia and the surrounding area, with a shared spot to make tea or coffee and sit for a chat. The place has been fully refurbished, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and well furnished.

We had a lovely view from the room and even caught the sunset. The owner was welcoming and very friendly. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant downstairs, and the food was delicious. One thing to keep in mind: large bags have to be carried up a flight of stairs.

Every detail in the rooms and restaurant felt carefully thought through, and you could sense how much care the people running the place put into it. They were warm and kind while staying fully professional. We loved staying at your hotel and eating at your restaurant. Thank you, it was a pleasure, and we hope to visit again!

About an 8 minute drive from the city center, and we’d happily come back whenever we revisit. The owners were so helpful. The whole place has been refurbished, and the new rooms are nicely designed and well equipped. There’s a library and a cozy shared spot for watching TV or having a quiet cup of tea. We also loved the restaurant, with delicious food and a breathtaking view over Perugia. A very cozy, lovely stay.
