The room cost 65 euros, then they added 3 euros for tourist tax without telling us about it. When we mentioned the dirty shower, we got an “oh, sorry” that sounded like they knew and didn't care. We repeated that it really wasn't okay, and the owner started shouting at us to go. Incredibly rude. At checkout there was no eye contact, and most of the conversation was directed to someone else because it was in English. That stood out since the man at checkout has an English text tattoo on his neck. The owner showed very little hospitality. We'd been told on the phone checkout was between 9:30 and 10:30, but at around 9:45 someone knocked and asked us to leave in ten minutes. The sheets were clean and towels were there, and the room and bathroom seemed okay, though the bathroom didn't look very old. The shower was just nasty, with lots of black mould between the tiles. You couldn't hang the showerhead while it was running, and water leaked into the bathroom afterward. It reminded me of a really poorly cleaned student bathroom. Check-in itself was great. We were late getting off the boat from Sardinia and a very nice woman helped us, so the welcome was good. The front door wouldn't lock with the key we were given, but we didn't consider it a major problem because our room door did lock. This place has potential, but I wouldn't recommend it. They aren't making the small fixes that could make a big difference, and it's overpriced. Since the owner doesn't seem to understand hospitality, I don't think things will improve soon. If it's your last option, book through an intermediary website, where the room is cheaper.
