Sognando Verso La Torre

The room was huge, with a very comfortable mattress, a big bed, tall ceilings, and large windows. The rooms were incredibly clean and were cleaned every day. I haven't seen that much attention to cleaning anywhere in the past ten years, including big city hotel chains. The location is close to the ancient walls of Pisa, about 70-90 footsteps from the Baths of Nero, and roughly a six-minute walk from the leaning tower and cathedral. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful, with service better than at the Michelin restaurant in Pisa. Definitely a great hotel.

Stefano was very nice and accommodating, and even worked around our late check-in. Our room was clean and modern, and quite close to the tower. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Highly recommend (:

Rooms 1 and 2 were comfortable, modern, and very clean. As advertised, their bathroom was in the hallway outside the room, and the AC worked well. I'd happily stay in either of those rooms again. Room 3 was also as advertised, with no AC, and felt quite warm. We left the door open and used the provided fans to cool it. Its bathroom was attached, but water problems had left the room smelling strongly of mildew, so we didn't use it. We told the owner at checkout the next morning. They apologized but didn't offer a refund. I'd avoid room 3 because of the lack of AC and moisture issues. Also, there's no parking onsite, and the parking is about five blocks away.

We had a nice stay, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The Pisa Tower is very close. We had breakfast at the place out front, which has the same owner. We arrived late but had no trouble getting our keys. A very nice experience 🙂
