We rented the whole house for nine people and had a great time up in the mountains. The location kept the summer heat manageable, noticeably cooler than Lucca, Pistpia, and Florence, while the garden and pool still felt lovely and summery. The garden was great, the pool turned out to be much better than we expected, and the house worked really well, with plenty of rooms and little corners. The walls kept out noise well, the blinds were good for sleeping, and the temperature indoors was comfortable. David and his father were incredibly sweet and helpful. When we arrived, David took plenty of time to show us around the house and share tips for the area. He’s very interested in history and knew lots of lovely places to visit, with great recommendations. We did have some downsides. Before arriving, we thought the road would be a small, quiet country lane, but it turned out to be very busy and noisy. Bring earplugs. In our opinion, the mattresses were too soft, though other people may like them. The one in the purple room creaked a lot whenever someone turned over, and that room was also missing a curtain to keep the light out. Maybe it was being washed? The other rooms all had good blinds. Even with those issues, considering the price and how helpful the owner was, we still give the place a strong four. All in all, it was a good experience.

We spent five days and four nights here with friends, and it was a wonderful stay. The owners were the best part: lovely people who were helpful and discreet, but always around when needed. They made us feel at home, not just like guests. Locanda Le Panche is quiet and beautiful, surrounded by nature with stunning views and a peacefulness that really lets you recharge. The rooms were welcoming, well cared for, and spotless, with a rustic but elegant style. A perfect place to slow down, relax, and breathe. Highly recommended if you’re looking for peace, relaxation, and an authentic feel.
