La Strolla

It's a wonderful place, though mosquitoes are a problem.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely apartment. It's in a quiet area and has a magnificent swimming pool. A few things could use improvement, like some of the equipment, glasses and plates, the freezer door, and perhaps the bedding too.

The price was more than fair, and the Siena countryside location is beautiful and unique. The quaint interiors make it feel welcoming, and complete dishes and linens are provided. After a strong storm destroyed the pool umbrellas and left branches and leaves in the water, I really appreciated how quickly they fixed everything. By the next morning, it was all clean and new. I'm not giving five stars because the sofa cover and pillowcases were greasy and dirty, the bathrooms need complete maintenance, and some other things were damaged, including the freezer door and kitchen cabinets. Aside from that, it was a very nice stay.

We paid a fair price and got much more than expected. It's a wonderful, spacious property, well maintained, peaceful, and full of country scents. The mattress, though, was already ready to be thrown out five years ago. We managed with it, but I'd have paid a few euros more for a comfortable night's sleep. The radiators also make a lot of noise when the boiler starts, but don't heat up. The owner's mother made clear that heating these rooms costs a lot and her son charges too little :-). Still, it's a lovely quiet place. Thank you, we'll be back soon.
