We came to Polignano for a week in October with our four-month-old baby and ended up with nowhere suitable to stay. The owner or person in charge was unresponsive and gave us three different apartment addresses. Nobody was at the first one, the second was under construction, and the third clearly wasn’t the place we had booked. He kept changing our arrival days through Booking.com, then cancelled the whole reservation even though we had paid, so we couldn’t claim a refund. Tired, hungry, with our baby crying, we had to accept a place we had never booked just to rest and get the baby to sleep. The rooms had no windows, and the only daylight came through the entrance hallway connected to a small kitchen. We were asked to pay immediately on arrival. Booking.com quickly moved us elsewhere, but because payment had gone directly to the person in charge, we couldn’t get that money back and effectively paid twice. After we’d been relocated, he suddenly offered us another “better place” for free. Strongly recommend finding somewhere else if you want to enjoy your holiday.

The owner never mentioned that other people would be staying in the apartment too. We arrived at night, and he started yelling and banging on the door because the other guests hadn’t been told we were coming either. The next evening, we came back to find the door completely wrecked and wide open, so anyone could get in. Absolutely horrible place. Don’t be fooled by the fake (italian) reviews. The owner is completely crazy. Stay away!

There are no windows in the bedrooms or in the bathrooms, and the bathrooms don’t have ventilation either. The apartment is on two levels, but there are no radiators, and its two air conditioners, one of which wasn’t working properly, aren’t enough to heat it. The bedroom doors don’t lock because the tiny rooms are completely filled by the beds. I can’t see how this apartment is livable.

The hosts were so kind, and the apartment was just a stone’s throw from the sea. It was large, modern, new, and very clean, with every comfort. Thank you ❤️
