We came from the north and were delighted to find such a peaceful B&B in a great spot for visiting the excavations. The owners made us feel very welcome and were incredibly friendly. Everything was spotless. I’d gladly recommend staying here.
Right in central Pompeii near the cathedral, this property also has parking. The owner was kind and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommended.
The apartment is in a private home and is furnished beautifully but practically. There’s a big garden with sculptures and a Roman-style pool, and the hostess was friendly. From the terrace, Mount Vesuvius looks almost gentle, which makes its power hard to imagine. The area around the hotel, though, was awful: rubbish everywhere, even in bags hanging from balconies. There’s no pavement or shoulder, so you have to edge along beside passing cars, and the houses are crumbling. It felt like a horror film or some post-apocalyptic scene.
Cosy room in a Pompeii B&B, with air conditioning that was much appreciated. The owner was friendly and helpful. I’d suggest renting a scooter to get around.
A little out of the way, and the small villa is a bit neglected. Still, for the price they ask, it’s okay.
