Fortuna Village Pompei

The rooms are simple and do the job. The parking was perfect for visiting the Pompeii site, and we loved that they take good care of the cats on the property.

It’s a small site, but the pitches are a good size, and the entrance to the Pompei ruins is even closer than the car park. The manager in the office spoke good English and showed us to our pitch. Toilets, showers, and washing-up facilities are in rooms under the restaurant. Everything was clean but basic. The shower cubicles are tiny, so bring a plastic bag, like a supermarket bag for life, to keep your things dry. We paid 33 euros a night.

You’re right across the road from the entrance to the historical site of Pompei, and the town center is only a five-minute walk away. There’s a supermarket next door, and all the shops you need are nearby. The staff were polite and very helpful, and the price was fair. It’s a small site with everything a camping car needs, plus chalets to rent. The showers are a bit small but clean, and the toilets were clean and well heated during our winter visit. Highly recommend it for camping car travellers.

The entrance is steep and very small, and there isn’t much room. The receptionist spoke badly to us and looked down on people, and wasn’t friendly to talk to. Better not to go, it’ll ruin your day. My first camping place, and so bad from what I saw.
