The safe, free parking was a huge help for us, especially since we were driving on to hike Vesuvius after our two nights of sightseeing in Pompeii. We didn’t walk to the train station, but it looked like about 12-15 minutes away. The hotel felt safe and was clean, and our family of five, with kids aged 5-9, fit comfortably in the quadruple room: a queen bed, two singles in a bunk bed formation, and another single. It was functional for our stay, and had a balcony and air conditioning!!!! The night staff member was truly kind and helped us a lot with finding good places to eat. We highly recommend Unico next door for Japanese and Pizza Centrale for pasta/pizza. Breakfast was light, but suited us fine. Thanks for a nice stay.

It’s September, and I’m back at Hotel Giovanna again, happy to be here. The owner, staff, and facilities are marvelous. Everyone is professional and welcoming. I’ve stayed for many weeks over the last few years, and whenever I’m in Pompeii this place feels like my second home. I’ll keep coming back.

The garden and Vesuvius views were phenomenal, and the staff were attentive and made excellent coffee. Our room was nicely equipped, though the AC had a noisy vibration. The location is convenient and surprisingly quiet amid the bustle of Pompeii. The only trouble was the (non)taxi the front desk called, which charged us €20 for the short trip to the ruins. I should have noticed it didn’t have a taximeter.

I had everything I needed, and the staff were super friendly. The room suited me perfectly. Maybe someone could’ve shown me how the curtains worked, but I didn’t bother asking 🤣 It’s close enough to the center that I managed just fine for a week without a car. If you do plan to rent one, there’s a provider just around the corner. 👍

The staff were super nice and helpful, and the views and outdoor areas are beautiful. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the center. Our room felt pretty old, though, and the sheets and covers had holes and stains. I think some renovations could make this place much better.
