The laundry bill was a shock: we sent out three bags and were charged €300, without being told the price in advance. When we asked for a price list, staff couldn't provide one. It left us feeling ripped off. We also had to pay unexpectedly for mandatory swimming caps, which we only learned about on arrival. Service was poor from check-in onward. We were ignored and treated with hostility while other guests got friendly greetings and explanations. At checkout, the tall receptionist with glasses called at 10:40am to hurry us out, even though checkout was listed as 11:00am. When we said the call was unnecessary and rude, he replied, “It's not like we called you at 7am,” in an unprofessional tone. Then he spoke about us in Italian to another staff member right in front of us. Disrespectful and arrogant. The dated, basic rooms had mosquitos, and all of us were bitten repeatedly. The hotel looks overdue for renovations. We didn't get fresh towels during our stay, and breakfast was bland with few options. The keychain was huge, smelled foul, and was awkward to carry. We were also told we couldn't eat small snacks like crisps or nuts from a local shop in the general seating area, despite there being no sign about this rule. It made us wonder whether guests could even bring their own water. Night entertainment stayed loud well past 11pm and made it hard to sleep before early excursions. Between the poor service, old facilities, and unexpected charges, this fell far short of what I'd expect from a four-star hotel. We can't recommend it. A very disappointing three-night stay.

The building feels old for a five-star hotel, but the service lives up to that level. There are two warm thermal pools, an outdoor jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room, and other indoor pools. The staff were nice, and they let us use the pool and shower after checkout.

The food, location, and staff were fantastic. The rooms could use some renovation, and the WiFi was a complete disaster. Still, a good stay overall.
