The views were a highlight, whether from the room, at night, or on the way down to town. I’d worried about the location at first and booked just two nights, but I ended up extending my stay by one more. My Amalfi trips were all spent at L'Antico Episcopio. Katia made breakfast feel cozy and delicious. You can choose what you want the evening before. I usually skip breakfast, but here it became something I looked forward to. She was also incredibly sweet, kind, and helpful. I was travelling alone for my birthday in Amalfi, and she made me feel touched and less alone. I stayed in two different rooms, and both were lovely, clean, and comfortable. I was here last September and had meant to write this sooner, but there was too much to say. I highly recommend L'Antico Episcopio. Thank you so much, Katia. She speaks fluent English and even French!

Pontone is a peaceful little village with beautiful views, and the bus stop for Amalfi is only a short walk away, so it’s easy to explore the coast. Our room was spacious, and the setting was lovely. Katia made the stay especially memorable. From the moment we arrived, she coordinated with our taxi driver, helped with our heavy suitcases, and explained how to use the local buses. She even suggested a fantastic boat rental. She’s thoughtful, attentive, and so friendly. Every time we spoke with her, we felt welcome. We had a wonderful stay at L’Antico Episcopio and highly recommend it for the comfort, setting, and hospitality. Thank you, Katia!

Our room at L’Antico Episcopio was spotless, comfortable, and had a lovely view of the sea. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious, and we had everything we needed. Katia, the owner, was lovely and ready to help whenever we needed her. She explained the bus route and how to walk to the places we wanted to go. The property is in Pontone, a beautiful place above the Amalfi coast. It works well if you’ll be out exploring all day. Amalfi is 1.5 km away on foot, but the route is all stairs, and buses come every 1-3 hours depending on the day and time of year.

Katia was so helpful at check-in. She explained the buses and gave us great suggestions for places to go and things to do. The room was clean and cool, and breakfast came with a lovely selection of pastries and cakes. With only six rooms, the place was quiet and relaxing to return to after a day exploring the coast. The location worked perfectly for us. It’s about a 20-minute walk down the steps to Amalfi town, though the 900-plus steps can be hard on your knees the first few times. Buses ran regularly for the ride back up to Pontone, so we could avoid climbing them. There’s a lovely bar in the square two minutes from the B&B, plus a very pretty restaurant with great food. We had the best stay and can’t recommend L'Antico Episcopio enough.
