Casa Baia Luna

We found the rooms fairly spacious and the stay was fine overall. The B&B is very well placed, around a five-minute walk from Ponza’s port and center. Breakfast felt a little sparse, though, and the shower heads didn’t work properly. Since the room notes that water is limited on Ponza, that made the shower issue feel a bit inconsistent. We also never saw the host, who I think should at least be around as a contact person.

The hostess was consistently warm and helpful, and breakfast was a highlight, with homemade cakes, croissants, pancakes, and fresh fruit. The B&B is handy for both the center and the Cala Luna viewpoint. The rooms are a little old-fashioned, but comfortable and equipped with what you need. I’d gladly recommend it.

I’d booked a single room, which was lovely already, and they upgraded me to a double with a balcony overlooking the sea. I absolutely loved it. The room and bathroom had plenty of space and were practical too, with a hairdryer, kettle, and fridge. The place is simple and spotless, in a great location. Veronica was so kind and helpful, always ready with good advice. Breakfast on the pretty patio was generous and delicious, including sweets she’d made herself. Great value, and I’m already keen to return.

From the house it’s just a short climb to the viewpoint for sunset over Chiaia Luna, or a walk downhill to the port, where you can catch the taxi boat to Frontone beach. It’s a great base for seeing different sides of Ponza. My yellow room was comfortable, clean, and practical, with a good bed and fantastic pillows. Mornings started with a tasty breakfast and at least a couple of homemade pastries. The owner was calm, kind, and very helpful, and everything ran smoothly. I’d give the five stars for cleanliness, breakfast, location, management, and simplicity, all supported by an organization that clearly works.
