We were treated to an excellent vegetarian dinner, with local ingredients and every course a delight, all paired with excellent wine. The team were kind, cordial, and friendly, and the place is run impeccably. I’ll be back soon. Well done, guys, keep it up.

Michela and Mattia make you feel welcome at the hostel in Ciglione and help make for a pleasant stay, complete with authentic Piedmontese cooking. The countryside around it is a lovely place to take a break in nature. Dinner for about €19 included a generous appetizer, two first courses, dessert, and drinks. They also sell local specialties like honey, wine, saffron, and hazelnuts. A delicious getaway.

We had lunch at this agritrattoria in the square of Ciglione, a small hamlet in the municipality of Ponzone. The portions were generous, and the dishes were excellent, made with local, zero-mile products. Michela served us with great courtesy and friendliness, as did her son Mattia, who’s a truly excellent cook despite his young age. Congratulations!

A young chef has turned this secluded, delightful corner of Monferrato into a little culinary masterpiece. The food is simple and no-frills, made with authentic Monferrato products. A beautiful little girl’s captivating smile completes the picture.
