The peaceful La scatolaia sits high in the Tuscan hills, and we found it a magical spot for a family holiday. The villa works especially well for two families who want to vacation together but still have their own privacy and quiet. The grounds and facilities were kept in excellent shape, while the surrounding nature added a lovely extra touch, from deer to fireflies. Maria and Leonardo were fantastic hosts. They were happy to help us enjoy our stay, offered recommendations, and helped book restaurants. I'd absolutely recommend La scatolaia for a family trip to Tuscany.

We'd visited Italy a few times before, including Tuscany, and this year we wanted a large house for two families. Choosing La Socotalaia turned out to be a great decision. There's plenty of room for each family to have its own area, while the pool and big table gave us places to spend time together. The grounds are spacious and good for relaxing, and the view alone is worth every penny. Amazing! 😍 The owners were lovely and very helpful. Maria, you've made a wonderful place to stay while exploring Tuscany. I highly recommend La Scotalaia 😊

Beautiful Villa in Papiano, near Stia, with comfortable, spacious rooms and a lovely, enormous garden around a big pool area. The views are beautiful and the area is quiet, with lots to do nearby. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended, and we'll be back.

The owners were really friendly and helpful, even helping us get medical assistance. The one thing that bothered us a little was that there isn't a short or indoor way to get between the apartments.
