At first glance the house looked nice and had air conditioning, but there weren’t even clean forks. It was much more basic than expected. There was only a thin strip of toilet paper, and with one of my post-trip attacks, if we’d arrived in the evening, I probably would have had to use the shower curtain. The bed was uncomfortable, there was a dead cockroach in the drawer, and basic things were missing, like salt, oil, and coffee. The knives were worn and plastic. The door wouldn’t close, though at least the chairs were fine. They had limescale remover and muriatic acid, plus fabric softener, but no soap or dish soap and no washing machine.

The apartment was on the ground floor, and the kitchen had just one window facing the street, without screens or shutters. We kept it closed even at night, so with the air conditioning on there was no ventilation. The central bedroom had no window and opened onto the bathroom. Another room had a glass wall, plastic ceiling, and a glass door without a screen, facing a small courtyard they called a garden. It was impractical and stayed shut. It was meant for dogs, but the ground was just soil, there were various insects, and an unidentified liquid leaked from an upper drain. The kitchen oven didn’t work and was greasy with crumbs. I messaged the owner but got no reply. I don’t recommend this stay.
