Casa Colomba

We came here for our honeymoon, and the location was lovely. There are 490 steps from our room to the water, but we thought the view made it worth the climb. Getting our bags up to the room was easy with help from an elevator type device. Just so you know, Amalfi has a lot of steps.

Praiano is full of friendly people, and this is a great spot with lovely views. The rooms are basic but clean. The bed was extremely firm and the pillows were lumpy. Guglielmo's mum is lovely, though. Breakfast came with bread rolls, croissants, freshly baked cakes that were delicious, fruit, and yoghurt. You’ll need to climb 200+ stairs to get to the hotel, but that’s the Amalfi Coast.

The walk up to the hotel is pretty steep, but the views make it worthwhile. My family and I had a great stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean. Having air con was a real plus in the heat. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Prianao near Positano. We’ll be back!

There’s parking for your car, which is rare in Praiano and really anywhere along the coast. The rooms were nice and clean, and the view was great. The downside is the 200 steps up from street level. It’s really difficult for older people and small kids.
