Igor, see you next year! We've been coming to Igor's for years, sometimes for a meal and sometimes just a beer. We were back again to see Igor and Paula, his mother, and it still feels welcoming, relaxed, and very typical. Juri the house cat adds to the special atmosphere. We spent two weeks at this hotel last August and were treated condescendingly by the management, who seemed to avoid dealing with us. There were regulars who left newcomers with little room, then criticized them as antisocial. Meals were repetitive and very spicy. Leaving food on the plate seemed to annoy them, and the next time we were served a much smaller portion than other guests. We were also charged extra for the Ferragosto dinner without being warned, after adding half a glass of wine and two chips to our meal.

The hotel said it was full, though there didn't seem to be any guests there, and no one tried to help us. We were simply told to find a room somewhere else. We had booked by email, but the reception desk had no record of it when we arrived. The place also looked very dirty. Luckily, we found another hotel with a vacancy in the village.

Igor even goes out to find the mushrooms he cooks, and I still fondly remember the gulash. Paola makes delicious cakes, too. This little family-run hotel is in a beautiful spot, and Igor and his mother Paola are always around and ready to help. They made me feel like family, not a guest. If you love good food and unspoiled nature, I highly recommend it. Thank you, Igor and Paola. What a lovely discovery!
