Hotel La Maielletta

The Turkish bath, warm swim, and relaxing showers were just what we needed after a cold morning in the mountains. We spent about an hour in the wellness center, where the staff were friendly and the facilities felt welcoming. The pool and wellness rooms were at the temperatures posted at the entrance. The bathrooms are small, but have what you need. I’m writing because our visit was pleasant, and some of the recent harsh reviews seem quick to complain.

We booked an hour at the spa, but I left before the half-hour mark. The sauna and Turkish bath were comfortable; the pool water and relaxation area were cold, so the visit never felt relaxing. Such a shame.

Luca and Serena from the entertainment team made our children’s stay feel magical. The staff were always available when we needed something, and the rooms were spotless. We had a lovely time here, especially with the excellent spa and location. A relaxing holiday, highly recommended. TOP

The pool was cold, and the relaxation area felt just as uncomfortable. Even the hot herbal tea was cold. We could only warm up in the Turkish bath for ten minutes, and going back in was nearly impossible with around 15 people in a space of 1 square meter. The Finnish shower, which was the only hot shower for both men and women, had no door, just a white curtain, and there was a long queue when we tried to leave early. Then we had to wait again for the tiny bathroom, which had no key or lock. We came as four people and left earlier than planned, agreeing we wouldn’t return. A spa should offer a chance to relax, but this one left us more nervous. The changing room was also tiny, with just two lockers to share and no way to lock them. Other reviews seem to mention the same cold conditions. If you want a proper spa, look elsewhere.
