Cascina Montiglio

A heads-up for sports car owners: the turn off the main road is very steep. Even after some recent work on the road up to the hotel, our Porsche scraped underneath and was damaged. The hotel itself is lovely, with a small, clean pool overlooking the area and a tidy room with air conditioning. There's a small restaurant on site, and breakfast the next morning was good.

A great clean swimming pool, and coffee and tea are available in the entrance at any hour. We loved the staff and the breakfast, really, everything. It's such a classy place, and the staff are helpful and great. We stayed for a few days to chill out, and it was perfect.

The breakfast was tasty, though the butter and croissants were the exception. The rooms are nicely furnished and have everything you need. It's somewhat out of the way, but the surroundings and the view are lovely. Getting there by SUV is manageable. The road is a little bumpy, but okay.

The morning staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fantastic. The whole place is pristine and peaceful, with running water adding to the relaxed feel. Everything, pool included, was clean. The scenery and countryside around the property look like a painting, almost surreal. Well done!
