Restaurant customers aren't given the WiFi password. The canederli could use some sauce, too. In the rain, the waiting staff seemed a bit prejudiced against tourists. I know they get wet, but there aren't any other customers coming in during the rain anyway.

The parking near the lodge costs € 8 per day if you want to stay in the area and hike after check-out. The access road opens intermittently to let buses pass smoothly. There are incredible waterfalls nearby and a hilltop you can climb, with amazing hiking trails all around. We stayed with our dog and couldn't find a single fault. The staff were so kind, breakfast was rich and varied, and our room had a picturesque view. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

I stopped here for a drink last year after a nice walk nearby. It would be better if they had PV solar panels, so they could use the old, noisy diesel generator less when possible.

Most of the guests that night, about three quarters, were climbers. The hosts were great, and the sleeping accommodations were perfectly adequate for this location. It's an incredible spot right along a stunning hiking route.

There are nice hikes starting from the hotel. It's right at the far end of the road from town. Even during the coronavirus period out of season, it was fully booked, probably because many hotels nearby were still closed while waiting for winter.
