San Marco

Getting to the bus stop and train station was easy, and I thought the hotel offered good value. The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke English fluently, which made things more convenient. The bathroom was disappointing, though: it was small and had no proper door, so water spilled out and flooded the floor.

The staff are nice, and it’s cheap, so you get what you pay for. But if safety concerns make you consider letting your dog pee inside the hotel instead of taking him out, I suppose the location is a problem.

My room was clean and pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself is pleasant once you’re inside and convenient for the train station, but it’s in a rough part of town. The nearby arcades were dirty, and groups of young men were always hanging around outside.

The only good part was the kind hotel staff. The beds were very hard, and the breakfast cost 5€ but wasn’t worth the price. They also charged me for four nights instead of three. You can find somewhere better in the center.
