The nicest thing was how much it felt like home. The owners were very friendly and showed us all the rooms. They’re spacious and well equipped, and the hillside location in Riccione works perfectly if you’re going to Cocoricò.

I can’t comment on the property or rooms because we never got to stay. I’d booked two apartments more than two months ahead, mainly because the place was near Cocoricó. When I asked about our arrival time two days before check-in, I was told a booking provider had caused a problem and there were no rooms left. Then, two days before check-in, I was notified that the apartments weren’t available after all. The owner offered a hotel belonging to a friend, in a completely different area and of a completely different type. We turned it down and found somewhere else. I’d be inclined to see it as a one-off mishap if the same thing hadn’t happened to some friends the previous Saturday in exactly the same way. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I want to warn others to keep an eye on this property so they don’t have to change their plans at the last minute like we did.

You’ll need a car, though Riccione’s center is nearby. We found this place on the hills to be a lovely discovery: a clean, tidy studio with a large terrace and a roomy bathroom with a jacuzzi. Breakfast was excellent, prepared by the owner and delivered in a basket, with quality products and the essentials for two. The owner was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it.

We were in town for the National Swimming Championships and stayed here as a team. The owners were so friendly and flexible, even arranging an early breakfast and a team dinner. They made delicious spaghetti with clams, fried fish and skewers, meringue pie, and fruit, with an excellent white wine from a local winery. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the ingredients reflected Romagna tradition. Breakfast is brought to your room, with plenty of sweet and savory choices. The rooms are clean and the neighborhood is quiet, which made it good for sleeping before a race. It’s only 3 km from the swimming stadium, no more than a five-minute trip.
