The room was far too small for a family of four, with a bunk bed. The view looked out onto a roof covered in cigarette butts. The balcony was tiny, so there wasn’t room to dry our towels, and sitting out there was impossible. The reception staff weren’t helpful. They offered us a parking spot 2 km from the hotel even though the hotel had free spaces. We asked to change rooms and got no reply. I have celiac disease, and the gluten-free bread I was given at breakfast was stale.

A minute from the beach is the one real plus. But we sometimes came back to find our room door open ☹️. The room was dirty enough that we slept on towels, and most of the staff weren't especially friendly. The tall girl with long hair was the exception. Sorry, but this was a big no for us.

For what we paid, it felt more than fair. The rooms were clean, and the owner and all the waitresses were warm and friendly. Food was generous, especially on Ferragosto and the Romagna evening with local dishes. The beach is a minute away and the busiest pedestrian area about five minutes on foot. If you're looking for more, you'd obviously need to choose a 3-star hotel.
