Hotel Meeting

The owner was very hospitable, and the staff were helpful and nice. We booked two double rooms and a suite, and all were surprisingly well designed, with comfortable beds, nicely arranged bathrooms, and small balconies facing the sea. Breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold choices, though there was no fresh juice. The beach is across the street, less than a 5-minute walk away, while the city center is around 10-15 minutes by car. We found a few things that could be better: there was nowhere proper to open or set down a bag, so we used a corner and the small stool. Housekeeping could improve, and the towels seemed old, like they'd been used several times. Parking gets quite busy, and some guests don't stick to one slot. A proper electric car charger would be a welcome addition.

I booked a suite, but the room was very small for a suite, and there was no coffee station. The breakfast selection was very limited. There wasn't even a trash can in the room, so we used an old bag hanging on the window. This feels like a 3-star hotel, not a 4-star one.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay and nothing to complain about. The hotel was clean, service was good, and the staff were friendly.

We spent 10 days here in August 2020 during the pandemic. Our junior suite on the 6th floor faced the beach and had a nice view. The rooms were clean and modern, and the staff were kind and helpful. There were free activities for kids and adults in the basement, plus bikes for riding around. It's a bit far from the city center, but the area is quiet and not crowded, especially the beach in front. There are some abandoned buildings nearby and across the street. The food portions were generous, though sometimes the same food was served again, and sometimes the chef seemed to recycle it. I don't think he's a real chef. Even so, Hotel Meeting is one of the best around for service, cleanliness, and location. I recommend it.
