I’m giving one star only because that’s the minimum. The hostess was kind, which was the one good thing. We couldn’t sleep in the bed, and the pillow felt like a scrap of fabric. How could there not be a proper one? The bathroom smelled of stagnant water, there wasn’t even a bar of soap to wash our hands, and the room was tiny. We didn’t like anything and felt out of place. We left very disappointed, especially given the poor value for money.

The terrace breakfast with the Sarntal Alps in view was lovely, and the scenery from the window was beautiful too. The hosts speak German and Italian. Everything was great, and breakfast made up for the missing shower soap.

The owner was warm and attentive, and the room was comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was excellent too. I’d highly recommend it. Everything felt perfect.

The rooms are roomy and pleasant, and the staff are really friendly. It’s in a great spot just above Merano, with hiking and cycling trails nearby.

The bathroom doesn’t have a bidet, and the rooms could be a lot cleaner. The owner, though, is very kind.
