Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and healthy, with good meat and vegetarian choices plus a lovely cake. The hotel is small, just six rooms, which meant more personal service. Nicola was friendly throughout and check-in was easy. The place is clean, modern and comfortable, only a few minutes’ walk from the center and very close to a canal. We stayed one night and I’d highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the region.

We were charged an extra €40 for an “extra bed” at the end of our stay at Locanda Dogana in Peschiera del Garda, even though we had booked and paid for a triple room with 3 beds, just as their website described. The owners spoke no English, so communication was very difficult, and they showed no willingness to clarify or resolve the issue fairly. Disappointing, and I don’t recommend this place.

The food was fresh and tasty, the staff very friendly, and the view fantastic. Our room was neat, tidy and really quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other guests.

That was our last night in the area, and I wish we'd found this place sooner. We probably would've eaten here every night. The chef sent out a delicious starter on the house, and our house spaghetti with sausage and smoked ricotta was beautiful. Everything tasted fresh, especially the pasta they make themselves.

The homemade bread was exquisite, and I’ve never had a better Ragù alla Bolognese. The food was excellent, too. We sat outside in a lovely, quiet spot, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
