Le Rose Spa Hotel

The hotel is right by the beach, with a large parking area, and the town center is close by. Inside, the rooms are spacious and the staff were friendly, but the furniture feels quite dated. The kitchen lacks a lot of basic utensils. Noise carries from other rooms, and loud music comes in from outside. I also didn't like having to pay extra for the pool.

The good parts were the excellent breakfast choices, a great room with a well stocked kitchen, two balconies, a lovely bathroom with toiletries, and tea, coffee, a kettle, and water in the kitchen. The seafront location was nice, and free bikes were a thoughtful extra, though getting into town was a long walk, so we took cabs each night for 15-17 euros. We loved most of the hotel, but the missing jacket really soured the stay. The sofa bed in our suite wasn't made when we arrived, even though a friend and I were sharing it. We asked, and it still hadn't been done after lunch. They made it while we were out that evening. The next day my yellow Joules rain jacket was gone from the hook by the door. I assumed the person who made the bed had taken it. Staff told me each day to check again tomorrow, then after three mornings said they hadn't found it. It was an expensive coat. Parking cost another 10 euros, and the sign said they weren't responsible for cars, so we left ours on the seafront instead. The music played on repeat all day and night and got annoying, especially late when drunk people were noisy in the pool. At 9pm on Sunday it sounded like a football crowd in there, until the rain sent them away. When we asked for the music to be turned down, they said it was part of the ambience.

We were guests for nine days, and when my family and I tried to use the pool, we were told access cost €33 per person. We then found out that fee only covered three hours. Neither the hotel's booking site nor third-party booking websites had mentioned any of this when we reserved. We understand the pool and spa are managed separately and aren't hotel services, but we expected the charges for these facilities to be explained clearly. After committing to a long stay, discovering undisclosed fees was deeply frustrating and disappointing. Guests should be told all extra costs upfront. Please explain why these charges were missing from the booking details and address this transparently.
