The people here were lovely, and I really appreciated how they made food for our five-year-old whenever needed. The garden has a great atmosphere, and the grounds and outdoor rooms are beautiful and peaceful, with a boutique-hotel feel. Inside, though, the rooms are pretty simple. On our first day, I was disappointed by how dark and plain ours was. I also missed little touches at breakfast and dinner, like fresh herbs from the garden. The town itself isn't anything special, but thanks again to the kind staff.

It's a handy place to stay if you have a hire car and want to explore more of Sardinia. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was excellent, and breakfast was generous. We ate in a lovely shaded courtyard. My bathroom didn't have a shaver socket, so I couldn't charge my electric toothbrush. An adapter might help with that. There were plenty of sockets in the bedroom, and otherwise I had everything I needed.

We visited in March, in the off season. Riola Sardo itself doesn't have much to offer, though there are lots of beautiful beaches nearby, mostly in nature reserves. The hotel is small and friendly, set in a characterful historic building. Its seven rooms look onto a lovely central garden courtyard, and there are a little sitting room and a few outdoor corners where you can relax. They also offered evening meals, which were very good.

Dinner was served at the table. The first meal was perfect, while the second was just ordinary. The hotel itself is peaceful and stylish, with an intimate feel and a garden setting. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with slightly faded antiques that give it character. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. We loved staying here!
