Mrs. Antonietta Principe's cooking is a real challenge if you're watching your figure, and the jams are so good you might end up buying them all after the fairytale breakfast in the villa of the Gattopardo. Congratulations to the eclectic Ester, and enjoy your stay at Le Stalle di Giurò! Lots of farmhouses promise open views, relaxing spaces, good food, and animals, but very few deliver. Le Stalle di Giurò really does. It stands apart from the commercial cliché with its original construction, faithfully and respectfully renovated in the rustic Cilento style. The garden is simply enchanting.

I was there with friends on August 15th. The property could be worth a stay if not for the way the owner, Mrs. Ester, manages it. Beware of red herrings. The daily menus on display encourage guests to decide whether to stay and confirm lunch or dinner if they want it. But when we asked for the bill, the price was higher than what had been displayed. Mrs. Ester couldn't give a plausible explanation. She said there were menu differences we hadn't noticed, but no change to the noticeboard menu had been posted to let guests decide based on the services and higher prices. She herself recommended eating out on the evening we arrived, and that's what guests should do. Trattoria il Borgo has excellent food, great prices, and welcoming staff. Especially if you're staying on August 15th. The special menu is never displayed, and I've never paid that kind of dinner price even at the best agritourism places I've stayed with friends. A necessary warning to other travelers.

A rural-feeling B&B in the Cilento hills, about 30 minutes from Palinuro. The rooms are small but comfortable, and breakfast was a bit basic. A little more upkeep wouldn't hurt.

Getting there was easy. The road is perfectly passable and clearly marked, parking is available, and check-in was very convenient. The place is exceptional for its natural beauty and peaceful feel, and the people who run it are so kind and attentive that they make the stay even more relaxing. Everything was just right. Thank you so much!

Antonia's friendliness and the food were the best parts. The place is lovely, surrounded by greenery, and well kept, especially outside.
