ibis Styles Roma Eur

This felt more like an ibis budget than a Styles. The room was dated, smelled of rotten carpet and had barely any space to stand. There was no tea or coffee in the room, and the lobby machine was dirty, unattended and not even working. The location deserves negative 10 stars, there's absolutely nothing there for tourism. A waste of money.

A comfortable, quiet hotel with lovely staff. The room size and bed were good, and breakfast was really good too.

Being close to EUR Palasport Metro station was useful, about a 15-minute walk with the kids, and our room had two double beds. The staff were nice, and on our last morning they offered me a voucher for free drinks. The manager also emailed to apologize. But none of that makes up for how dirty the hotel was. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in ages, and we found a dirty sock and mud. The old furniture, which didn't look like the pictures, was covered in dust. At breakfast, we couldn't find a clean glass or cutlery. Staff tried to tell me otherwise, but they couldn't find clean ones either, so they went to wash some in the kitchen. Breakfast was poor enough that even my kids asked to eat somewhere else. We were in Rome for two days with the kids and just needed a clean place to sleep after long days visiting the old city. We had a bad experience, which I honestly hadn't expected.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was nice. It seems like a good hotel for a night or two. My room, 306, wasn't as clean as I expected, the carpet was old and worn, and there was a strange smell from the bathroom.
