We were happy with room 210, and the staff were great and very helpful. We'd asked for an upstairs room, though I'm not sure whether that affected where we were put. From other reviews, I gather the basement suites are the worst, and I believe 210 is probably their best room. Our Airbnb cancelled at the last minute, so we booked this place just two days before the trip. I hadn't read many reviews beforehand, and got nervous once I read more, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was basic, not luxurious, but fine and clean enough, with a fridge, TV, luggage closet, and comfortable bed. There were some missing floorboards, scratches on the walls, and an odd bathroom layout, but it worked for us. The location is amazing. Everything we wanted to do was within a 30-minute walk, so we didn't need a bus. I'd recommend staying here if you want a no-frills basic place that costs less than other options in Roma.

This is the opposite of luxury, and the advertising is completely false. The rooms are tiny, even smaller than a cruise ship cabin, with black mold all over the walls and a horrible unhealthy smell throughout. There was no Wi-Fi. Stay away, it's a total rip-off.

The location was great, so we tried to make it work, but the room wasn't as advertised. It seemed to be in a basement, reached by a strange, dangerous mezzanine stairwell. There was a powerful mold smell as soon as we entered. The bathroom was tiny, with the toilet wedged against the wall and sink, so using it was a contortionist's job. The toilet seat was loose and shifted sideways. The shower holder was about six feet high and dangerously loose, so the shower head fell several times. We asked for the toilet and shower holder to be fixed. We were told it would happen the next day, but when we came back at 10 p.m. the following day, nothing had been done. They again said the next day, and offered us the shower in the room next door. That room was even worse, with a stronger mold stench and a cracked wall leaking water. I checked out and left. Hotel.com only gave us a partial refund, despite how shocking the situation was. In 40 years of travel, I've never seen anything like it. Don't go there.

They lied about the rooms and their size. “Luxury” is part of the name, but this place is the opposite of luxury. The pictures make it look nice, but the reality was a moldy basement room with water damage where I could barely move. Within two minutes I felt I couldn't breathe and had tightness in my chest. There was no elevator. It's a dump, and I'd stay away.

We mentioned the problems to reception, but they offered no solution. After ten minutes we left and found somewhere better to stay in Via del Corso. I can't understand how they can rent out a room in such awful condition. The air quality was terrible and there was a strange smell through the room. My wife and I felt unwell just minutes after going in. We were in a basement room reached by a very old, narrow staircase, and there were bugs by the window and in the curtain. Absolutely terrible. Stay away.
