Kolbe Hotel Rome

The room had a lovely garden view, and the bed was spacious and comfortable. We also appreciated the heated towel rail and bidet. The hotel was clean, and the staff were fantastic. Beatrice gave us a friendly welcome when we arrived, and Daniela kept our room clean every day. We enjoyed most of our stay, but there were two things I wasn't keen on. There was no shelf in the shower, so using toiletries while washing was awkward. The breakfast buffet had less variety than I’ve usually found in Europe, and, to my taste, much of the food felt more suited to lunch or dessert. The location is handy for the Colosseum and reasonable for other major sights. Most are within walking distance.

We spent three nights at Kolbe Hotel in April and had a really lovely break in Rome. The staff were friendly, pleasant, and helpful, and the hotel was spotless. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room each day. The room was small but nicely decorated, and the bathroom was a good size, although the shower was very compact. A shelf or rack in there would make it easier to put down shampoo and other things. I also missed having tea or coffee making facilities in the room after long days sightseeing. I later saw a review saying they might be available on request, but nobody told us. A notice in the rooms or some information for guests could help. Breakfast had lots of options and was really good. The hotel’s location is very good too, within walking distance of most attractions and plenty of restaurants. Piazza Navona is about a 15-minute walk and has lots of places to eat and drink. The garden bar area is peaceful and nicely lit in the evenings. I’d definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rome. Thanks!

The garden dining was delightful, and the food there was a treat. Kolbe Hotel Rome made a very good base for our week in Rome, with attentive service and great attention to detail. It's close to the forum and coliseum, yet the forum area stays quiet. Getting downtown and to other sights was easy too.

We can't think of anything negative to say about Kolbe Hotel. Our stay there really added to our trip to Rome. The rooms were lovely and well maintained, and the garden dining area was beautiful. The restaurant staff were superb and remembered what we liked and needed after just one visit. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. A special thank you to Omar at the front desk, who was kind and considerate about our needs and requests. The car service to and from the hotel was also top shelf. It's a winner on every level!
