UGLY!!!! I've never seen a place this DIRTY in my entire life. The bathroom was dirty and wet, and the walls and floor were dirty too. I paid for 3 nights, but the room was so disgusting that I was desperate enough to find somewhere else and pay all over again. Desperation level 100%, and I'm not a millionaire. Don't make my mistake, don't go there. By the way, even though I paid for 3 nights via Pay Pal, I had to pay another 20,50 €. As far as I know, the tourist tax in Rome for a hotel in this category is about 3,50 € per night, so that's about 10 Euro too much, and I got no Receipt.

The worst part was discovering bed bugs on our last night. They hide during the day, and when we got up in the middle of the night and switched on the light, the bed was covered in them. The sheets and bedspread were stained too. The room was in awful shape, with damaged, marked walls and a door you had to push hard to close. The rest of the house looked just as bad: stained, broken walls and a wrecked hallway with things scattered around. The bathroom was dirty, and the towels were torn. It was cold, but we couldn't turn on the heat from the room, and the landlord was never around to tell. You could hear everything happening in the house. Breakfast was only a basic coffee or glass of milk with a croissant. After this, I plan to spend a little more for somewhere decent. This place shouldn't be allowed to operate.

The location was fine, and the bed was decent, but everything else was awful. There was no Wi-Fi signal in the room. We had to ask for towels and a duvet, since only one towel had been left. We never got a feather duvet, and the towels we used on the second day were never replaced. Getting in was a mess. There were no instructions, only a handwritten card saying “Casa di Max” with a phone number that nobody answered. People in the building didn't know anything either. After half an hour and several messages, someone texted to say a friend was coming to open the door. The room was run-down and the bathroom filthy. The toilet was connected to an ancient macerator that made an awful racket, and a sign threatened a €30 repair charge if it got clogged, so we barely used it. On our last day, a leak while we were showering flooded the bathroom, apparently because the macerator had malfunctioned. The owner accused us of putting things in the toilet, demanded €60, and insulted us. I paid nothing. We were charged €31 for three nights for two people. I was surprised by the amount, and only later noticed the listing said €3 per day per person. A few euros either way isn't a big deal, but the whole stay felt like a scam. Breakfast was supposedly at a café across the street, though all that meant was a croissant and coffee. Avoid this place.

The owner was rude, and the bathrooms weren't very clean. There was black mold covering the walls in the rooms. I don't think a place like this should even be legal. Definitely avoid it.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
