The bathrooms have this icky spray that somehow makes them feel dirty, and they give you flip-flops for the shower. The floor isn't shown in the photos, and now I see why: the tile looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. The place is gross and poorly maintained. I don't understand the good reviews unless they're fake. There are several better boutique hotels nearby at about the same price, so I'd look elsewhere.

The one good thing was the staff, who were really friendly and helpful, though they weren't there early in the morning or after 4 in the afternoon, which made that less useful. The hotel is supposedly “new,” but inside it's extremely dated and noisy. The photos are presented to hide the mess you see in person. The beds and bathroom looked disgusting and were covered in stains. I nearly went to bed fully dressed so I wouldn't have to touch anything. The bathroom's bright surgical-style light really sets the mood for a romantic trip to Rome. We stayed two nights and wish we hadn't. Don't be fooled by the reviews, this was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. We've had some awful hotels and hostels before, but this one takes the crown. Maybe it would make sense as a zero-star place for 50 euros, but not at this price. It felt like a huge scam.

The part-time reception was no issue at all, since everything was brilliantly organised and arriving outside their hours went smoothly. For a budget or midrange place in Rome, it's excellent value and in a super convenient spot. They offer free coffee, juice, and biscuits, plus a local phone guests can use. The room also had thoughtful things like earplugs, an eye mask, a refillable water bottle, a mini fridge, and slippers. Highly recommend.

The little help-yourself bar with coffee, juices, and snacks was a nice bonus, and the room and bathroom were very clean. The room was comfortable, though the shower is small and might be difficult for larger people. Water pressure was fine. The hotel is central and close to the metro. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, communicated fantastically, shared useful local information, and checked that everything was all right. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.
