Most sights are an easy walk from here, and it’s right next to the Collasium and Roman Forum. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the service was friendly.
It’s a nice, small, cozy boutique hotel, though breakfast could be better.
The room was comfortable after a long day out, and it came with a kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, and the utensils we needed. There’s also a shared kitchen on the same floor with a coffee machine, microwave, and toaster, plus a large balcony where you can sit with a drink and look at the Colosseum. The continental breakfast includes yogurt, butter, jam, Nutella, crispbread, cookies, fruit, and juice. There’s plenty of it, though meat eaters may be disappointed. Shops nearby sell salads, prosciutto, sausages, and other things, and there are lots of cafes close by for pasta and pizza. We went to La Base on Via Cavour several times. The hotel is on Via Cavour, around 450 meters from the Colosseum, so most sights are walkable. It’s in a residential building, with reception on the second floor and guest rooms on the fifth. Breakfast delivery has to be requested separately. Dmitry is at reception every day from 3:00 PM. He’s friendly and helpful, and his advice in Russian about staying in Rome was especially useful since we don’t speak foreign languages well. We’re very grateful to him. The main drawback for us was the Wi-Fi, which barely worked in the room. I had to use the internet from the hallway, which wasn’t convenient. Even so, I’d definitely recommend staying here.
The apartment is small but cozy, with the essentials for day-to-day needs and plenty of comfort. It’s just steps from the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums. The agency managing it was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I’d choose it again if I return to Rome.
