MZ Hotel Rome

We were surprised by how nice the hotel was for the price, and the location was perfect. Outside noise was minimal, though the walls between rooms were so thin that we could clearly hear our next-door neighbor's conversation. Definitely choose the breakfast. It's worth it, and they'll even make eggs, which was a nice surprise.

We stayed at the MZ Hotel in Rome on Sept 18, 2025. The portable a/c in our room overflowed overnight and flooded the floor. It's apparently in every room. Our luggage and everything inside got wet. At checkout, the front desk clerk said they'd speak with the Manager and arrange a refund, but that never happened. I emailed the hotel directly and got no response. Do not stay here.

We felt welcome from the start, and everyone was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. The location is perfect, right in the centre of Rome with lots to do nearby. The staff would give the whole room a good clean and replace things like towels if you wanted. Some reviews mention noise, but that seemed exaggerated to me. You can hear the occasional shuffle, which feels normal for this kind of hotel and price. The bed was extremely comfortable, the blackout curtains were great, and the room was always warm. We had an amazing weeklong stay, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. I'd definitely recommend it ❤️

Rosslana at reception really made the stay special. She was so kind and did everything she could to make us comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. MZ Hotel Rome is also in a great spot for seeing Rome. The room could use some upkeep. The portable AC was loud, and since it needed the window open, street sounds came in. It was plugged into the outlet by the bed, so we couldn't charge our phone there. At €180 a night, the price felt fair, though a few fixes could make the experience great.
