Out of 16 different places on our 2.5-month trip around Europe, this was probably the worst room we stayed in. The fridge was so filthy it made you want to throw up, yellow inside, with water leaking out. The shower was a mess and the hot water kept cutting in and out. The window looked ready to fall off. The air conditioning was extremely noisy, and its remote seemed ready to come apart in two pieces if you didn’t hold it together. A really bad experience. I’d give it zero stars.

The building and backyard were truly magnificent, and the room was very spacious and cleaned every day. Towels, soap, and shampoo were supplied and replenished as we used them. For the price, the quality was good. The location is quite good too, near Terminie, a great base for getting to other parts of Rome or the surrounding area. Most of the tourist centre is also walkable. We were told in advance that check-in was elsewhere, so it wasn’t a problem. Someone took us to the building and explained everything. There were a few minor issues behind my four stars. The walls were thin enough to hear noise, though not excessively, and after a full day we had no trouble falling asleep. The wardrobe doors didn’t open all the way, so some small renovation would help. Also, please only replace towels when they’re left on the floor. Changing ones that are still hanging is unnecessary and not ecological. Most hotels have that policy, and it would be good to adopt it here too.

Most of Rome’s attractions are within 2-3 km, so I walked to all of them and enjoyed seeing the city’s beauty along the way. The hotel is about 1.2 km from Roma Termini. The rooms were spacious and well ventilated, and the stay was good. If you’re happy to walk there and back, you don’t need a taxi.

Everything was great, except the noise coming from reception made it hard to sleep. Bring earplugs if you want to get any rest.
