The pasta was great, and the staff were really nice. This is a good-value local spot for Italian food, set in a small market area among a few vegetable shops. There’s some bar seating around the counter.

Tasty food, and great prices!

The owner came out a few minutes after we told the staff we were visiting from America. He was an older man, I think the owner, and had tears in his eyes as he thanked us for stopping in. We’d stumbled on Monte D'oro pizza by chance, on a Thursday when gnocchi was on the menu. It was the best gnocchi I've had, and the whole meal was one of our best dining experiences.

We were the only tourists there at lunchtime, and the staff didn’t speak much English, so hand gestures helped us get by. They still treated us really well, even though we weren’t their usual customers. The food was authentic, delicious, hot, and affordable. A fabulous little local lunch spot. Delizioso!

Really good panini, made with simple but high-quality ingredients. You order at a walk-up counter, and they were very patient with me as someone who doesn’t speak Italian.
