Domus Raffaello suite in Rome

The stay was okay overall, though check-in started badly. We waited 15-20 minutes at the entrance, and neither the phone number on the booking site nor the reception number posted there worked. The receptionist arrived after I messaged the guest house team online. This is more of a guest house or serviced apartment than a four-star hotel, despite how it's listed on Google Maps and the booking site. The location is handy, with the metro and bus station a minute away and a supermarket nearby. The room was average in size and well maintained, with a small fridge. There's also a shared sitting area and a microwave. The receptionist was nice and helpful, although she didn't speak English, so Google Translate came in handy. There wasn't a shower kit provided, but we had brought our own. The shower and basin water kept turning cold, and there isn't anyone at reception if you need help. The owner handles questions on WhatsApp. Towels are changed after four days, or sooner for €1-€2. The AC wouldn't go above 21C, so if you're visiting in winter or spring and come from a hot, humid climate, good luck.

Simone was kind and accommodating, and even arranged our transport to the property and back to the airport. The place was very clean, including the toilet, and had air conditioning. It was also affordable and close to the metro, as well as Neighborhood (Filipino Restaurant) and Marcini (Filipino Store).

Just a minute from a metro station, this B&B is in central Rome. The hosts were really kind and helpful.

The rooms are fine, but breakfast at the bar down on the street is pretty limited.
