Hotel All Time Relais & Sport

I booked because of the spa, but couldn’t use it when they asked to keep my passport. I’d paid extra for it and couldn’t get a refund. They said the locker was the reason, and using one was mandatory. The spa felt more like a community center. I spent the night watching downloaded Netflix shows instead. The TV only had Italian channels. The room was ready, which we appreciated, but the towels smelled awful, like they’d been put away wet. The air conditioning was controlled by the front desk, and there was just one small bottle of water per person in the room. Breakfast was tiny: an extra small croissant, an apple, a juice box, and a bottle of water. The buffet was cheap and had few options. The restaurant in the community center had cold, rude, unhelpful staff. We speak Italian, but they were still much colder than the warmth and hospitality we’re used to in Italy. It left us feeling like tourists weren’t wanted. The door between the two places was broken, making the short walk between them a little difficult. We only stayed one night while waiting for our flight. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel for a layover unless it’s the cheapest option you can find.

The three receptionists were really good and communicative. The hotel restaurant and bar, though, were closed, so we couldn’t get food or coffee. There was also an extra tax charge at the end of our stay. The room was very dark and in really bad shape for a place meant to be four stars. The sheets were dirty and the walls were cracked. It might be okay if you just need a place for one or two nights.

The hotel wasn’t family-friendly, and the charges were confusing from the start. I booked through Booking.com and included my very young children in the search, but it automatically gave me two rooms. That’s absurd. I can’t leave a baby and a toddler in a separate room. The hotel said its policy would normally give us a room for four people, but that didn’t make sense either, since my small children can’t sleep in regular beds. I was also charged an extra €12.50 for my toddler, who slept in our bed. Whatever the policy or booking system says, the hotel should make sure families can stay comfortably. That didn’t happen here.

The sporting facilities were excellent, with a sauna and massage services, and the rooms were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. The neighborhood is quiet, though not very lively, so it’s a good fit if you want somewhere to relax. The facilities and rooms are in separate buildings. That’s awkward if you use the pool or sauna and have to walk back and forth. The outdoor pool area gets lovely sunshine during the day and early evening.
