Our flight was delayed, so we arrived after the official check-in time. The host was very helpful and let us check in late. The room was lovely and had air conditioning and a little fridge. It had everything we needed.

The hosts were friendly and quick to respond, and the metro is close by, which makes the location great for staying in Rome. We had a decent stay, though a few avoidable problems kept this from being a five-star review. The hotel seems to be inside a locked apartment building, so you need to message the hosts to get in. We hadn't been told that before arriving, and finding the place was difficult too. More detailed check-in instructions would have saved us some frustration.

Alessandro, the owner, was the highlight: always smiling and very nice. The rooms were nice, and you can walk to the Vatican in just a few minutes. We recommend staying here to enjoy Rome.

10/10
The place is clean and modern, with a few restaurants nearby. It's only about three or four blocks from the Vatican Museum. Fabiola, the housekeeper, is very sweet and helpful, and Alessandro goes out of his way to help.

Alessandro was a communicative, helpful host, and his restaurant and bar suggestions were all top. He clearly loves his city, and following his tips helped make our city break great. We stayed at Allegra's House Caracciolo in November 2018 and had a delightful time. The clean room had a comfortable bed and everything we needed, including kitchen access. Being right next to the Vatican was handy for planning and also felt safe and quiet. Breakfast was basic but did the job.
