Stay away from this hotel. I’ve been trying to reach them for seven days, with repeated calls that nobody answers and emails that get no response. We also contacted them through the platform where we booked the rooms, but neither they nor we heard back. We lost a lot of money and can’t recommend this place at all.

The rooms were clean and looked recently renovated, the AC worked great after long days touring Rome in 36-degree heat, and the staff were helpful. The showers are partly open, so you have to be careful not to splash water everywhere. We managed without trouble, and staff even lent us an extra towel for the floor, though I can see why it might bother some guests, as other reviews say. The location was super convenient and the price was comparatively affordable, so for the price range I’d give it a 4.5 and would stay again. It’s best described as adequate and good value. The lobby looks a bit dated, and the elevator gave me a brief “what have I got myself into” feeling, but I was relieved to find the basic room very clean. Look for the Altavilla sign to find the hotel. It seems to sell rooms under four or five different names, depending on the floor.

The reception team made check-in easy, especially Shakeel, who was welcoming and humble. The hotel is very close to the central station, with public transport and everything else you need within easy reach. It could work well for families, though the rooms are basic and don’t have things like a kettle or bottled water. It would help to add a kettle and say clearly whether tap water is safe to drink. Renovations are underway, so there may be some disturbance. The lifts and a few other parts of the hotel look old and may be waiting for refurbishment. A convenient place to stay, but the room facilities could be better.

The owner kindly offered us breakfast for free, which I thought was very considerate. The hotel is only a few minutes from Termini station and the main sights, but the room was small and the bathroom smelled bad. Renovations were going on, and workers started making noise early in the morning.
