Breakfast was included and delivered to the room at whatever time we chose between 8:30 and 9:30. It was satisfying: coffee in the type you wanted, juice, a small breakfast sandwich, croissants, delicious yogurt, oranges, and mini dry bread with jam and butter. The breakfast staff were kind and accommodating. The owners replied quickly to questions, and our hosts surprised us one night to mark our milestone anniversary. It was a lovely, thoughtful gesture. The room was on the fifth floor, accessible by elevator, so we didn’t hear street noise. Our room, Vanessa, had no view, though I can’t say what the other rooms are like. The Wi-Fi was excellent. There’s a pizza shop and an ice cream shop just steps away, plus low-priced souvenir stores outside in every direction. Ottaviano metro station is also close by. Check-in was quick and easy because I followed the detailed instructions sent after booking. The room was super clean, though there wasn’t much space to walk around. We didn’t come to Rome to sit in the room, and there was a large flat-screen TV for catching the daily news or watching a program. We had a room with a jacuzzi, which felt great after long days of walking, and a shower in our private bathroom. My only suggestion would be a bed that sits a little higher for those of us with aging hips, and maybe a newer mattress. It wasn’t bad, though; comfort depends partly on what you’re used to. I’d choose this place again.

The location in the Prati area is very good, with lots of souvenir shops nearby. We liked the shop on the left when facing the entrance, the man there was really nice and gave us better deals. Our room was on the sixth floor, but the elevator only goes to the fifth, so don’t book if you can’t carry your bags up one flight of stairs. The Filipino man at the front and the maid were both very nice. They even brought breakfast to our room in the morning, which was really kind.

Breakfast was delightful, especially the homemade croissants delivered to our room each morning. The lady who welcomed us was lovely and gave us plenty of local food recommendations. It’s a great little B&B in the Vatican area, a bit quieter than central Rome. The rooms were clean and modern, with good air conditioning. Remember to tell the owner when you’ll arrive so they can meet you at the entrance, since it’s on the fifth floor of an apartment block. The Wi-Fi was a bit unreliable, and there wasn’t always hot water for showers later at night. Even so, I’d stay here again if we returned to Rome.

The location is a great deal for the price, and the staff are wonderful. Alfredo was so helpful, gave us loads of tourist information and tips, and explained all about transport. The place was very clean, breakfast was nice, and we felt safe and looked after. The metro is literally 20 seconds from the door and takes you to the city center for just €1.50, though the center is about a 30-minute walk. Vatican City is just down the road. The only downside is the bins outside, visible on Google Street View, though I assume they’re there because of the markets held here every day.
