The apartment was spacious and very clean, with a large bedroom and living room, a good-sized bathroom, and a working kitchen. The neighborhood felt wonderful too. People were courteous, smart, and friendly, and there's a laundromat across the street and a very friendly grocery store nearby. The church basilica of Saint Mary trestevere is a short walk away, along with other beautiful churches. The Colosseum area is a quick ride, and the Vatican isn't far either. My taxi to the Vatican cost only seven euro. The restaurants were excellent, especially the one right downstairs in the same building. I stayed for six days, went away for a while, then came back for four more. The host was wonderful and checked that everything was okay. When I had a couple of problems, she and her husband helped me with both. It wasn't very expensive for what you get. If I return to Rome, I'll stay here again.

Inside, the apartment is brand new, so don't be put off by the outside of the building. It's spotless, with really spacious rooms and a great bathroom. The shower had no water pressure problems, which I'd never come across in Rome before. The owners were courteous and helpful. The location works well for exploring Trastevere and getting to the main sights in the city center.
