The rooms were very clean and had air conditioning, and the staff kindly stored our bags when we arrived. We also loved the playful, almost kitschy decor, especially the ornate wardrobe and little columns used as bedside tables. Piazza Navona is only steps away, with many major sights nearby. A few things felt less reassuring. Check-in is at another location about a five-minute walk away, so make sure you head to the right place. The shower curtain tension rod fell when we moved the curtain, even though we didn’t pull hard. Wi-Fi kept dropping, and the room keys were basic brass keys. I’m pretty sure any guest with a room key could open the other rooms, which made me feel unsafe. I wouldn’t recommend it for a woman travelling alone.

The staff were really friendly, and they cleaned the room every other day. It’s a great base for tours and long walks around Rome. The rooms are a little dated, though, and nights can be noisy, both from the street and from nearby rooms.

The bathroom was nice, the AC worked, and you’re close to piazza navona. The hotel feels like stepping into the 1700s, with a very vintage look. We had a family room a few blocks from reception, which is an odd setup. Breakfast wasn’t included and cost 12 euros per person a day. They gave us three keys, and it took us five minutes to get the old, thousand-year-old key to work. Mediocre, but it does the job.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and the location is very good, close to everything. But the room had no ventilation and felt quite claustrophobic. The air conditioning didn’t work, and our door wouldn’t lock from the inside, so we slept with it open. Internet was horrible. The router has a tiny antenna and the walls are very thick, so I had to sit in the bedroom doorway with the door open just to check email. Reception is three blocks from the room.
