Breakfast could be brought to our room at no extra charge, or we could eat on the terrace by the hotel, with its beautiful view over Rome. The main tourist spots are nearby, too. It was such a cozy, beautiful place to stay, one of the best things that happened to me in Italy. I’d book it again next time!

We loved our stay, and it was great value for money. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Our room was fairly basic, but had what we needed: Wi-Fi, a clean modern bathroom, air conditioning, a hairdryer, fridge, safe and hot drink facilities. Breakfast was a good continental spread, served on the rooftop at the main hotel about a five-minute walk away through winding cobbled streets, or you can order it in. The location was excellent, just minutes from Castel Sant' Angelo, St Peters square and piazza Navona, and a few doors from Rome’s best ice cream parlour. The hop-on hop-off bus stop is a short walk away.

We had a two-night reservation but had to change rooms after the first night. They said the room we were meant to have had a broken sink and that we’d been upgraded on night one. When I asked early the next morning to get into our original room, though, they said someone had stayed there the night before and it needed cleaning. The door from the stairs into the apartment didn’t work for us or the other guests during our stay. Breakfast was good.

The location is nice, the staff are friendly, and our room was a good size and very clean. The one issue was an old door inside the closet that connects to the next room. We could hear everything the people next door said, and even their toilet flushing, and they could hear us. There was virtually no privacy.
