Antico Condotti

The staff at Hotel Condotti were exceptional, helpful beyond words. The rooms were lovely, clean, and well appointed, and the location is the best in the city. It's 50 metres from the Spanish Steps, with easy access to get around the city and plenty of great restaurants and gelato places nearby. If I could, I'd give everything 10 stars. We won't stay anywhere else.

I found this gem while randomly searching Google for Rome hotels and booked on a whim. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful hotel and incredible service. It was perfectly placed for shopping, major tourist sites, and amazing restaurants, so exploring the city was easy. A wonderful stay, and we'd absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

The separate building behind reception had spacious, very nice conjoined rooms. The reception staff were accommodating and the service was great. The location made it easy to get anywhere in the city. My only possible complaint is the shower size, though the water pressure was magnificent. But that is Europe.

I booked Condotti Boutique Hotel in good faith and was looking forward to my Rome trip. An airline error meant my passport validity wasn't flagged during booking or check-in, and I was denied boarding at the gate. It was humiliating, stressful, and emotionally exhausting. I explained right away that I physically couldn't get to Rome, but the hotel's response was cold and rigid, with no empathy. They offered no flexibility, goodwill, credit, date change, or even a partial refund. I was told, “this is an airline issue,” and left to take the full financial loss for a stay I couldn't attend because of circumstances outside my control. I'm a business owner and understand policies, but hospitality should include compassion, discretion, and basic human understanding. None of that was present here. Hotels that value their guests understand that sometimes life happens. Condotti Boutique Hotel clearly doesn't. I won't rebook, and I'd strongly advise people to think carefully before booking if they expect flexibility or empathy when something goes wrong. A deeply upsetting experience from start to finish.
